Klipp ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by Bahia Ventures USA LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website (klipp.video) and application (app.klipp.video).

Information We Collect

• Profile information: name and profile photo
• Uploaded content: videos you upload to the platform
• Usage data: how you interact with our service, including clips created, collections, and playback preferences

Referrals and Affiliate Disclosures

If you sign up or create your account using a referral code, we may share limited account information with the owner of that referral code so they can validate the referral.

This limited information may include your display name, email address, profile photo, signup date, current plan status, and the date when the referral becomes eligible for payout. We do not share your uploaded content, private clips, collections, payment details, or login credentials with the referral-code owner.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase: authentication, database, and file storage
• Google Analytics & PostHog: website and product usage analytics
• Google OAuth: optional sign-in method
• Stripe: payment processing for Pro subscriptions and AI Tools purchases
• AI Tools providers: AudioShake, MusicAI, Klangio, and LALAL.AI for stem separation; additional providers may be used for lyrics transcription and chord detection

Klipp Learn, AI processing, and payments

When you publish, purchase, localize, or watch Klipp Learn content, we process additional information needed to operate the learning marketplace. This may include instructor onboarding status, content pricing, purchase history, payout records, watch activity, localization settings, and language-selection telemetry.

If AI captions, translations, or dubbing are requested, we may send uploaded media, extracted audio, transcripts, and related metadata to third-party AI providers to generate subtitles, translated text, and dubbed media. We store the resulting assets, related job records, and playback manifests in our infrastructure and storage providers.

Payments for Klipp Learn purchases and instructor payouts are handled through Stripe and Stripe Connect. Klipp and Stripe may process transaction details, payout status, and connected-account compliance information in order to charge buyers, prevent fraud, reconcile marketplace activity, and pay instructors.

AI Tools Processing & Caching

When you purchase Klipp's AI Tools for a song, a short audio rendering derived from your uploaded video (or the YouTube video you selected) may be transmitted to one of our AI Tools providers for processing. The audio is used only to generate lyrics, chords, or separated stems for your request and is retained by the provider according to their own policies.

To keep AI Tools fast and affordable, Klipp caches generated artifacts keyed by the content fingerprint of the source audio. If another user later requests AI Tools for the same audio, Klipp serves the previously generated artifacts instantly — no provider call is made, and your original audio is not shared with that user. Each user's entitlement to the artifacts is tracked per-account; users do not gain access to another user's saved videos or clips through this caching.

AI Tools events — including purchase attempts, successful generations, and cache hits — are recorded for accounting, support, and fraud prevention. Aggregate usage metrics (for example, the number of credits a user has consumed) are also recorded in your billing history, which is visible to you on the Billing page.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

Klipp is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a user under 18, we will delete it promptly.

User Content

You are solely responsible for the videos and content you upload to Klipp. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to upload and use such content.

Klipp is not responsible for verifying the ownership or licensing of user-uploaded content. We reserve the right to remove content that we believe infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
